2010 Acura RL Boasts Highest Ranking on Security Tests

Acura’s newest RL model, aptly called the “Flagship of the Acura fleet” for its popularity with both consumers and reviewers, has made headlines recently for its impressive safety rankings from top crash safety organizations.

The 2010 Acrua RL received a 5 star ranking, the highest possible rating, from NHTSA (the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) in their New Car Assessment Program. The rating included testing driver and passenger side seating positions, as well as front and rear seating position testing and rollover resistance.

Along with its rave reviews from the NHTSA, the 2010 Acrua RL also received the highest rating possible from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s (IIHS) frontal offset crash test, side impact crash test, and rear crash protection/ head restraint rating.

The Acura RL’s host of safety features includes advanced compatibility engineering, an active front lighting system, vehicle stability assist, and a collision mitigating braking system.
